OP’s homecoming is about three weeks away. Here are five tips on how to upgrade your homecoming look this year. 

1. YOUR HAIR!!! The difference your hair can make to your overall look is truly remarkable. Try something new and unique to make yourself stand out. However, you want to make sure your hairdo frames your face properly and brings out your features.  

1. MAKEUP!!! I know this is mostly a tip for girls but for anyone who does their makeup, you should really consider what I am about to say; invest in products for your lips, brows, and lashes. Creating the perfect lip routine is a key step to the perfect finishing touch. First, pick a color. Then, the lip liner used should be a darker shade, the matte lipstick should be more of a neutral shade, then your gloss should be the lightest shade. For lipliners, I like Anastasia, NYX for matte lipsticks, and VS for gloss.  Brows can be tricky, but eyebrow gel will make such a difference. It is a small side note, but personally, it makes your makeup look 10x sharper and full. Lashes can either be enhanced by a good mascara or falsies. Either option can be used to make your lashes look long and luscious.  

1. COATS!!! It is winter. You need to add some layers. Do not be scared to wear a classy coat over your dress or suit. It will keep you warm while you are outside and adds some mystique to your appearance. 

1. SHOES!! Whether it is heels, boots, or dress shoes, you want your shoes to flow with the rest of your outfit. Although, you should keep in mind comfort. You are going to be standing and/or dancing a lot.  

1. JEWELRY!!! Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, whatever it is, it adds layers to your outfit and adds a touch of glamour/bling. Earrings and necklaces make the best statement!
